Hidden Gems is named after Gem, the late dog of founder Jacklyn. As the first eco-friendly pet store in Hong Kong, Hidden Gems encourages naked shopping and is stocked up with nearly 30 types of package-free air-dried and freeze-dried pet treats, nutritional supplements, and grooming products. Jacklyn, one of the founders, used to work in the pet boarding industry. Seeing that most of the pet treats in the market contained artificial colors and that some were of poor quality, she decided to make her own pet treats. Being very environmentally conscious, Jacklyn decided to create a naked shopping experience for pet owners, which has created a unique positioning of Hidden Gems.
Jacklyn encourages pet owners to bring their own containers and only purchase treats in moderate portions, so that their furry friends can try out the taste first, avoiding wastage. The nutritional information and a list of precautions are also printed on each type of food, allowing pet owners to make choices based on their pets' preferences and physical conditions. 100% of the products are made with raw materials imported from foreign countries, which will then be processed by the brand's own factory in Hong Kong to ensure food quality.

The brand will soon open a branch in Sai Ying Pun and will hold events that celebrate its first anniversary.
